Preparations are well underway for the Eastern Division 1-26 Labor Day Fun Meet
hosted by Piedmont Soaring Society, Inc.
at Bahnson Field (43NC) in Farmington, NC. Contest days Sept. 2, 3, 4, with
practice days Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.
Bahnson Field is located in the Piedmont (central section) of North Carolina,
near Winston-Salem, with excellent soaring and many landable fields. (Also
conveniently located in the center of the Yadkin Valley wine region!) A list of
local accomodations and attractions is available on request, and more
information is posted at piedmontsoaring.org.
So far #480 Schwartz, #125 Johansen, #238 Vickland, #214 DeNaples, #039 Daye,
#687 Bahnson/Bennett have indicated their participation. Please let us know if
you plan to attend, as slots are limited. Even if you are just considering
