2007 1-26 OLC “CONTEST WITHIN A CONTEST” 

 

Winners of this unofficial, unsanctioned, unfunded contest are those 1-26 pilots who post the most OLC points for their TWO BEST flights during the month.

DECEMBER WINNER:

First Place :

            Robert Spielman      1,000.53 points        (524.11 + 476.42)

There were only two OLC flights posted for the 1-26 Association in December and Bob Spielman made both of them, totaling over 1,000 points. Nice work, Bob! What happened to the rest of the gang?  It must have been those snowstorms back east that grounded the Blairstown Bunch. Hopefully, the competition will stiffen in January and February when wave winds start blowing.

If your flight also qualifies as a Sweepstakes flight, be sure you enter it in both contests.  If your flight violates FARs, it will not be counted in either contest. Jay McDaniel and Kevin Ford have made it easy to post Sweepstakes flights. Simply open the Sweepstakes page, click on “Click Here to Submit Your Flight”  fill in the blanks, and upload your .igc file. The program will automatically score your flight and post it on the Sweepstakes page.

Be sure to claim your OLC flights before Tuesday following the flight and within 15 days of the flight for Sweepstakes.

Did you know that you can view a list of all your OLC flights on a single page? When  viewing the OLC “All Flights 126 Association” page, www.126association.org/onlinecontest  click on your name and a list of all your flights will appear.
