For those who don’t know Phil, he does professional artwork for the Smithsonian Air and Space magazine as well as stamp designs for the Postal Service. He is an enthusiastic 1-26er and flies 081 at Skyline Soaring Club in Virginia. 1-26 Restoration Manual - $23.00

This manual covers the restoration process from beginning to end based on the experiences of TSA members who have collectively restored five 1-26s over the years. This manual is not just for someone restoring their 1-26. It also has lots of tips for the person who wants to improve the looks, quietness and handling of their ship. There are lots of “Why didn’t I think of that” things in this manual. It includes some factory drawings lots of photographs and a Schweizer Publication Index for Sailplanes. It’s written by Kevin Renshaw and edited by Mark Keene and is a good compliment to “Wing Tips”.

1-26 Series Sailplane Trailer Plans
This fully enclosed lift top trailer is designed for the 1-26. It is constructed of steel tube frame and covered with pre-painted aluminum. A complete set of drawings showing trailer construction which provides a means of restraining the wings, fuselage and stabilizer for transport. The fittings allow easy loading and unloading of the components.

This design is lifted from our very successful 15 meter sailplane trailer series. The 1-26 plans set includes ½ scale drawings, bills of material, source of material, individual part drawings showing necessary details and construction instructions.

Build time is approximately 100 hours.
A drawing set is provided for your exclusive use, not to be resold or distributed.
Cost is $100.00 per drawing set.

SKIDS: Pre-curved laminated oak skids for all 1-26's. Please specify model. Matches fuselage contours. 4 plys formed and glued in jig. Made to Schweizer factory drawing. Comes undrilled so you can match your fuselage and skid plate mounting holes. Unfinished (smooth but would need final finish sanding and varnish). $85 plus shipping. Finish sanded and varnished , $105 plus shipping. Standard skid is oak, but other wood types and lamination styles available on request. Also, custom wood work such as instrument panel overlays.
