In Memoriam With deep sorrow the 1-26 Association regrets to report the loss of Chuck Colvard of San Diego, CA. Chuck was Norm Miller’s crewman for the 1-26 Championship here in Moriarty, NM. Chuck collapsed at the end of contest day one while helping Norm secure the aircraft. Chuck and Norm were extremely close, having served together in the Marine Corps. As a close friend and crewman, Chuck approached the contest with a child-like enthusiasm, enjoying all of the 1-26 pilots and crews, and always bragging about “his” pilot. This tragic loss is felt by all contestants. Our sympathy and prayers go out to Chuck’s family and to Norm Miller.
